Now that Tom Brady is officially a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, will one of his close friends follow?
Brady has expressed a strong desire to play with Antonio Brown for a while -- since the wide receiver was cut from the New England Patriots in September -- and while it could be a possibility Brown joins the quarterback in Tampa Bay, a very significant member of the Bucs organization may be against it.
Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians doesn't seem particularly thrilled that Brady would like Brown to join him in Tampa Bay, and his past experience with the wide receiver makes it sound like the odds are slim.
"No, there's definitely some sense that Tom Brady would want to bring with him," "This from some of the other teams that were potentially in the mix. What really wasn't a secret Brady and AB have remained close. My understanding is this is not something that Bruce Arians is in favor of. He's had Antonio Brown before. He had him a couple of years in Pittsburgh. Does not sound like it went well. This does not seem to be like the direction that the Bucs would be going."
Quite frankly, it doesn't sound like Arians is willing to accommodate Brady's every desire, and he absolutely doesn't have to when he already has a pair of very talented receivers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
While Brown is an extremely talented receiver in his own right, he still has not been cleared to play in the NFL this season. If he doesn't curb his erratic behavior, it's entirely possible he may not take the field during the 2020 season.
Signing Brown would be a huge risk for the Buccaneers, who are now set up for success with Brady at the helm of their offense, and Arians definitely seems to be more confident in the group he has moving forward.

With players requesting to join the Bucs, it's hard to believe Arians will target Brown when he more than likely he has plenty of other options moving forward.
